CHURCHILL CHURCH NEEDS YOUR HELP LIKE NEVER BEFORE!
Please HELP
The Church which stands in the centre of Churchill is in real threat of being closed. If this were to happen the appearance of the Church could quickly deteriorate.
The upkeep and maintenance of the church together with the costs relating to minister, utility bills, insurance and other costs have traditionally been found via the congregation, collections and Free Will Offerings. Over recent years the number of attendees has declined and expenditure far exceeds income. The current church building is over 150 years old but there has been a church on this site since the 1400's.
The church has now almost run out of money to meet these costs and unless funds can be raised the church will close. Once a church is closed it can never be reopened, it is however likely that it will quickly fall into disrepair, may attract vandalism, graffiti, vermin, even fly tipping and become an eye sore.
Friends of Churchill Church was formed to meet some of these repair costs and to raise funds for a much needed toilet facility. Before Covid, Friends of Churchill Church organised many successful entertaining events that raised significant funds and more recently some of these funds have been used to pay for insurance, electricity, repairs and heating.
If the residents of Churchill were each to donate a small sum each month, much of the financial pressure would be relieved ensuring the church would be maintained to its current level.
HOW YOU CAN HELP

DONATE
If just a third of villagers were to donate a small sum each month, say £10, much of the financial pressure would be relieved
You can donate to Churchill Church by Standing Order
Bank Account Number: 30232351
Sort Code: 40-43-17
ATTEND
If you were able to attend Church Services on a regular basis it would help create a vibrant congregation, but obviously, Services must change and become more “User friendly” and at regular convenient times
If you would support the varied events the Friends of Churchill Church organise, it would help towards raising money for ongoing repairs
JOIN
If you could join the Friends and devote some time and ideas it would help them to arrange more suitable concerts etc.
If you joined the Friends of Churchill Church Committee you could help organise fundraising events. The Friends would be delighted to welcome new members with different ideas for raising money. You could also join the fun at many different events we organise throughout the year including: harvest Supper, Tribute Nights, Afternoon Tea, Kidderminster Male Voice Choir, Gin Tasting, Barn Dances and Talks.
